AKU YANG BERRELASI DI SOSIAL MEDIA

Membangun hubungan dengan orang lain merupakan dorongan alami setiap manusia. Sebagai makhluk sosial manusia butuh orang lain bukan hanya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan setiap hari tapi juga kebutuhan batin (afeksi). Kebutuhan untuk dekat dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain merupakan suatu keinginan alami yang ada dalam setiap pribadi manusia. Membangun relasi dengan orang lain mendatangkan kebahagian bagi setiap insan.

Lagi-lagi saya teringat apa yang dikatakan Thomas Aquinas tentang kebahagian sebagai sebuah aktivitas virtus (keutamaan dan bukan kejahatan). Haruslah diandaikan bahwa aktivitas membela dan mengejar virtus adalah aktivitas membahagiakan. Kebahagian itu merupakan aktivitas yang fundamental yang harus dilakukan dan dikerjakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kebahagian merupakan itu yang dicapai berkat relasi aku dengan sesama.

Lantas siapakah sesamaku? Menjawab pertanyaan ini dengan melihat relaitas “relasi” manusia saat ini yang dibangun dalam dunia medsos, barangkali memaksudkan mereka yang ada di group WA-ku, atau mereka yang ada di Wall facebook-ku, atau followers-ku. Saya bisa jauh dari tetangga apartemenku. Tetapi bisa sangat dekat dengan mereka yang secara real jauh sekali dalam jarak tetapi dekat karena terus-menerus berkomunikasi dalam WAG. Di sini terjadi redefinisi mengenai sesamaku.                                                         

Apakah relasi yang demikian menjadikan saya bahagia? Tentu tidak, relasi yang dikatakan di atas merupakan relasi yang menjadikan saya manusia yang egois, dan relasi ini merupakan relasi yang dapat memberi kesenangan semu. Relasi semacam ini tidak menghantarkan saya pada relasi yang akrab. Relasi ini tidak menunjukan relasi yang sebenarnya yaitu relasi yang menunjukan kehadiran aku dalam hidup sesamaku, relasi yang menunjukan keberadaanku dalam hidup sesama.

Manusia pada era ini secara tidak langsung membentuk budaya egoisme dan individualisme. Orang hanya mementingkan diri dan mengutamakan kepentingannya. Mereka berada dalam ruangan/tempat yang sama tapi seolah-olah mereka berada di tempat yang berbeda. Dan mereka berada di tempat yang berbeda dan jauh tapi seolah-olah mereka berada ditempat yang sama dan berkomunikasi. Inilah gambar relasi pada zaman sekarang. Padahal Lyan bukan mereka yang ada di WA-ku, bukan mereka yang ada di Facebook-ku.

Membangun hubungan yang lebih akrab dan mendalam semakin sulit dibina. Teknologi informasi memang mendekatkan yang jauh, namun pada saat bersamaan juga menjauhkan yang dekat. Orang sibuk mempercantik profil di sosial media, namun lupa memperhatikan teman dan kerabat yang ada disekitarnya. Kebebasan berekspresi memang bernilai tinggi, namun jangan sampai kebebasan tersebut menghancurkan hubungan yang bermakna dengan sesamanya.

Heidegger dalam Being and Time menggunakan terminologi “sorge” yang berarti perhatian. Terminologi Dasein Heidegger memesona karena “sorge” (perhatian) terhadap yang lain. Yang dimaksud dengan Dasein dengan “sorge” di sini adalah kenyataan bahwa manusia itu ada untuk yang lain. Di zaman ini manusia berhadapan dengan melibatkan diri dengan entitas-entitas digital seperti SMS, pesan WA, cuitan Twitter, mengunduh gambar, facebook dan lain-lain. Inilah gambar rutinitas harian di era sosial media. Sadar atau tidak sadar, sosial media tidak hanya mempresentasikan informasi secara obyektif, tapi mempresentasikan “Aku” sebagai pencipta sekaligus pengguna. Aku bukan hanya sekedar menggunakan entitas tersebut, melainkan berinteraksi, bermain, dan bekerja dengannya.

Rasa ingin tahu telah menjadi kebiasaan semua orang. Banyak orang yang tidak ingin ketinggalan informasi. Rasa tidak ingin ketinggalan informasi ini membuat “Aku” terus-menerus berada dalam dunia sosial media. Dalam sosial media “Aku” seolah-olah hadir bersama orang lain, namun sebenarnya tidaklah demikian. Dalam sosial media “Aku” seolah-olah bersama orang lain, tetapi sebenarnya “Aku” berada dengan diri-Ku sendiri. Dalam sosial media ini “Aku” hadir diwakili oleh pesan-pesan digital. Aku tidak hadir secara aktual face to face, melainkan kehadiran-ku adalah suatu kehadiran yang dipersentasikan via kata-kata dalam pesan.  Tidak perlu lagi korelasi atau konektivitas antara pribadi yang berelasi.

Dengan aplikasi-aplikasi yang ada “Aku” dalam sosial media juga dapat beralih peran. Artinya aplikasi-aplikasi ini dapat mengubah eksistensi penggunanya. Misalnya dapat mengubah wajah “Aku”. Terkadang Aku ditampilkan sebagai bunglon, yang sekali-kali dapat berubah. Kehadiran sosial media dalam dunia-ku, telah mempengaruhi prilaku dan tindakan-ku. “Aku” hadir sebagai yang selalu sibuk dengan sosial media dan mengabaikan kehadiran orang lain yang hadir secara aktual. Relasi demikian menunjukan suatu ambivalensi kehadiran. Karena bisa saja kehadiran-ku dalam dunia nyata bukanlah kehadiran-ku yang bebas. Kehadiran-ku hanyalah mengikuti idola-idola tertentu. Namun kehadiran-ku dalam sosial media adalah kehadiran yang bebas karena adanya kebebasan dalam berkomunikasi dan mengekspresikan diri.

Dalam sosial media “Aku” sesungguhnya tidak hanya menggunakan situs-situs atau aplikasi tertentu. Malah sebaliknya sosial media menggunakan “Aku” melalui aplikasi yang telah disediakan. Setelah berhadapan dengan dunia sosial media, pada saat yang sama juga saya masuk kedunianya yang menarik. Cara berada demikian yang membuat “Aku” semakin sulit membedakan apakah “Aku” yang memanfatkan sosial media atau justru sebaliknya sosial media yang memanfatkan “Aku”. Di era sosial media ini “Aku” semakin diperintahkan oleh alat-alat. Alat-alat memang sangat berguna tapi, sadar atau tidak sadar “Aku” telah diperbudak oleh media-media. Martabat-ku sebagai manusia telah dinista oleh media-media yang merupakan cipataan-ku sndiri.

Melihat realitas di atas bagaimana sosial media menyumbang kedalaman relasi dengan sesamanya? Relasi di sosial media tampak ramai, intens, seru dan penuh dengan ide-ide yang menyenangkan misalnya dalam berbagi video atau gambar yang mencengangkan. Skema sosial media adalah skema like or dislike. Dalam level like or dislike ini hampir tidak mungkin membina hubungan yang lebih dalam. Keberadaan-ku seolah-olah ditentukan oleh like or dislike. Terkadang orang merasa gelisah jika gambar atau video yang diunggah tidak disukai oleh sesamanya.

Menanggapi hal ini, bagaimana “Aku” sadar akan eksistensi-ku? Bagaimana cara supaya “Aku” dapat keluar dari persoalan-persoalan di atas? Heidegger memberikan solusi supaya Dasein dapat berpikir secara mediatif (pemikiran mediatif). Berpikir mediatif yang dimaksudkan di sini yaitu berpikir eksistensi-ku. Sikap yang tampak dari cara berpikir demikian adalah adanya sikap terbuka dan adanya sikap “me-rem” diri. Artinya tidak melekat dan tidak tergantung pada sosial media. Bukan berarti bahwa “Aku” menyangkal sama sekali akan kehadiran sosial media. “Aku” tetap menggunakannya, namun harus digunakan dengan bijak dan memiliki sikap kritis.

Yang terpenting juga adalah bukan soal bagaimana “Aku” mengubah sikap-ku, melainkan bagaimana membuat “Aku” memiliki cara pandang yang baru akan dunia, sehingga dapat merubah cara “Aku” berada dan bertindak dalam dunia. Dengan sikap lepas bebas terhadap sosial media, “Aku” semakin terbuka akan autensitas diri-ku. Sikap ini oleh Heidegger disebut sebagai “keterbukaan terhadap misteri”.
